The community of Thornbury, is located in The Blue Mountains area of Ontario off of Georgian Bay was incorporated in 1833. Some historians think that the name was inspired by the wild thorn berries that grow along the Georgian Bay shoreline. Still others say it was named after three Thornburys from England. If your travelling in the Blue Mountain area the Thornbury Bakery is a must stop! The bakery has been a landmark on the Main Street in the town for over 80 years. Along with an assortment of baked goods they now offer breakfast and lunch menus, custom cakes, and catering. The Bruce County Series includes the town of Tiverton, Ontario! With a population of approximately 725, Tiverton lies between Port Elgin and Kincardine. The town’s post office was opened in 1860 and was given the name Tiverton at that time. Like so many small towns, in downtown Tiverton you will find a General Store, church’s of varying denominations, and some kind of eating establishments. The Boys are Back in Town! Ever wonder where the ideas I paint come from? 🤔 While on my walk abouts every spring, I pass by my turtle pals out sunning themselves on the bank! A very familiar scene in many waterways as the warm sunshine of spring takes over! This creation can be seen at The Nook, 42A Main St W in Grimsby.❤️🎨 #reflectionsofniagara #turtlelife #turtle #lifealongtheshorelines #smalltownontario #exploringontario #ruralontario #the_local_nook #grimsbyontario
