Neustadt is located in Grey County in Ontario. Neustadt is a rural village with German roots associated with a farming culture. The name of Neustadt translates from German into New Town. Founded in 1856 by a settler from Germany, it opened the first post office in 1857. The town continued growing till its peak of development in the early 1880s. In addition to an array of historical sites, the village is also known for the @neustadtspringsbrewery . Since 1859, the brewery has sat upon one of the finest sources of pure spring water in Canada.
